Tom Mc Namara joined the Lewis English Studies department in 2018 and coordinates the university’s Writing Across the Curriculum (WAC) program. Mc Namara was previously a faculty member at California State University Fresno, where he coordinated the WAC program and taught English Education courses, and he completed his Ph D at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Center for Writing Studies. She serves as the area chair in Virtual Identities and Self-Promotion for the National Popular Culture/American Culture Association and is currently working on a project examining technology and identity. At Lewis University she established an innovative Foreign Language Program, which currently offers courses in ten world languages.
