The more advanced your classes are, the more your classes will be discussion-based rather than lecture-based, and probably the more you’ll get out of them.” Some students complain that they “usually have teaching assistants and graduate students that teach” their classes, that does not seem to be a problem in the Honors College.This semester, Talbot is teaching freshman composition, creative nonfiction, and graduate writing workshop.“It’s all writing all the time, which is what I love to do.This book provides context for the presence of metawriting in contemporary literature within the framework of the digital age’s obsessively self-conscious modes of communication such as Facebook, Twitter and blogs.Metawriting is very much reflective of where we are as a culture, ” Talbot said.These research opportunities allow students to enter university-wide honors programs.
