Oke, now that we know the problem for sure is not with the moden-router, but rather with the Omnia. Because at the moment the ipaddress as how i have understood of your moden-router is 192.168.1.1.

However the DHCP-server of your Omnia is distributing ip-addresses to the devices connected to it in the same range 192.168.1.x. So to access your modem-router you go to 192.168.1.1 and to access your omnia you go to 192.168.1.1?
If that is the case I think that is also the problem. @Big_boss: The modem assigns the Omnia address 192.168.1.5, i.e.
Companies with advanced network configurations can configure multiple IP addresses on the appliance’s ethernet ports.
Using multiple ports can enhance security or enable connections over non-standard networks.
Switches configured with dynamic ARP send packets randomly to either eth0 (192.168.1.5) or eth1 (192.168.1.10), not both.
When eth0 receives these packets from the switch destined for eth1, eth0 drops the packets. These switches drop all packets received from eth1 since this NIC does not have the default gateway and is not present in the static ARP table of the gateway.
Without being an expert, but I think most home routers use 192.168.1.1 as their own address.
But I can try to change the Omnia’s IP address at LAN0.
On the other hand on the Omnia’s hardware the WAN interface activity connector is blinking constantly. From my laptop I can connect to the modem under IP address 192.168.1.1 and from my desktop under the same IP address to the Omnia.
As soon as I power up the Omnia I seen in the modem’s DHCP page that it assigns an IP address (192.168.1.5) to the Omnia.
