They aren’t afraid to admit that they need other people to be strong where they’re weak. Followers see the limitations inherent in any given situation; leaders see the possibilities. Followers are content to stick with the safety of the status quo. Leaders are maximizers who see opportunity in change.
Think carefully as you respond to each one, and you’ll soon know for certain. Leaders, on the other hand, see their job descriptions as the bare minimum—the foundation upon which they build greatness.
Leaders see their real role as adding value, and they add it whenever and wherever they see an opportunity. Followers see the talents and accomplishments of other people as a threat.
A good leader is one who listens to constructive criticism and who hears honest complaints and evaluates them with good judgment in order that he might apply that which is positive and affirmative to the attainment of the goals to which he is dedicated.
